Michelle grew up in Laredo, Texas, surrounded by the vibrancy and flair of the Texas-Mexico border. It was there that she developed her love of fashion and color. As soon as she graduated college, Michelle started her career in Dallas, Texas, as an Assistant Buyer in Handbags at one of the leading luxury department stores in the nation. She was in the handbag buying office during the "It Bag" craze and has always retained her love of handbags. It was there that Michelle also gained experience in the jewelry division and loved it so much she eventually went to work on the wholesale side for luxury jewelry designers. After about a decade of experience in the jewelry industry and over 20+ years of experience in luxury retail/wholesale, Michelle was inspired to start her own collection. The Michelle Wilhite handbag collection perfectly marries her love of handbags and jewelry, and she hopes each of her jeweled bags will add a little bit of whimsical fun to your wardrobe. Michelle now lives in Colorado and balances her time between designing and spending time with her husband and daughter.
